Yesterday, Derek Norton - Mayor, City of Smyrna, Smyrna City Council member Latonia P Hines, and LiveSafe Resources CEO Lisa Mello, came together to present the official proclamation recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Smyrna, Georgia. The proclamation highlights a critical reality: 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience severe physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. Domestic violence affects every community regardless of race, religion, or economic status.
