What an unforgettable evening! Last night, Garfield Jazz paid tribute to the legendary Quincy Jones, earning a standing ovation from a sold-out crowd at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley. We were honored to perform for members of the Jones family and proud Bulldog alum, Mayor Bruce Harrell. Our students took the audience on a musical journey through Quincy’s extraordinary life, weaving music together with inspiring quotes from Quincy himself. The celebration continues this Thursday, April 10th, at 7pm! Join us for a special Community Show at (where else?) the Quincy Jones Performing Arts Center where Jazz 1 will revisit highlights from the Jazz Alley performance + a special set by Jazz 2.
