Why do we need to promote care prevent harm. With promotion prevention science we can all contribute to a society full of carepeace connection health and mental wellnessand absent of harmviolence loneliness illness and mental distress. Our Story Promote Care Prevent Harm began with a group of student leaders in the aftermath of the April 16th 2007 campus shooting at Virginia Tech. Rather than be defined by a traumatic event we aspired to mobilize a movement toward resilience and care led by young people.
