Monarch Thrift Shop is a 3,000 sq. ft. women-founded, award-winning boutique thrift store offering quality merchandise at affordable prices. We provide job training for individuals facing barriers to employment. Monarch Thrift Shop maximizes social impact by providing job training for individuals facing barriers to employment. Monarch provides a safe and growth-oriented site for youth facing employment barriers to improve on and learn new job skills; individuals come to us from the Avondale Restorative Justice Community Court and other agencies working with youth from under-resourced communities. With experience and training these youth become more employable and better prepared for the workforce. Monarch is environmentally conscious, processing over 25 tons of clothing and housewares per year, keeping items out of landfills and actively participating in resale, upcycling and recycling community.
