Dan Schmitt Gift of Music and Outdoor Education Fund Our mission is to provide youth with free instruments and music lessons afterschool music programming and outdoor education opportunities emphasizing food independence environmental sustainability and a connection to the natural world. Music Outreach The Gift of Music provides free instruments for area youth as well as free music instruction in a variety of formats. In the Keweenaw weve partnered with the Calumet Arts Center and local musicians to provide guitar piano and bass guitar lessons. In SW MI weve partnered with Youth Arts Alliance to bring healingcentered creative empowerment workshops to youth detention centers and alternative high schools.
