Established in 2002, ISPU is recognized for its objective research and educational initiatives aimed at fostering informed dialogue and decision-making about Muslims in America.

History

ISPU was formed in response to the need for deeper understanding of the Islamic community following significant global events like the September 11 attacks. • Studying Marriage and Divorce: Analyzing marriage and divorce patterns among American Muslims to identify trends and challenges.
  • Countering Violent Extremism (CVE): ISPU conducts research on strategies to prevent ideologically motivated violence and promote community resilience.
  • Islamophobia and Media Bias: Investigating how media coverage affects perceptions of Muslims and analyzing Islamophobic trends.
