You can run, but you can’t hide!! Now in my opinion, if you want to act like a tough guy by firing a gun in the direction of an innocent 2 year old, then be man enough to stand by your actions instead of hiding like a baby!! Early this morning, our GAMEOVER Task Force informed us that with help from the US Marshals, we have located 17 year old, JeMarcus Edwards, who was wanted in connection with the recent shooting on Burnett Road in Cocoa, where an innocent 2 year old girl was shot in the leg. Edwards decided after the incident that he should make a run for it, and ultimately traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, in an attempt to hide from our Agents!! Lucky for him, the long arm of the law knows no bounds, and from our great partnerships, we were able to track him down and take him into custody. Now he can enjoy a ride from our partners at Space Coast Exclusive Limos and Airliners, or as we like to call them the Fugitive Transport Services, back to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge to face a judge!! His charges include aggravated child abuse, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, discharging a firearm in public, possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, and open carry of a weapon, ultimately giving him a no bond status!! I want to thank our Agents, along with the US Marshals, for their great work on this arrest. I also want to thank the community for their continued support with information that aid us during these investigations, in bringing these criminals to justice!! Sheriff Wayne Ivey (fb)
