Warriors' Ascent

Warriors' Ascent is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing holistic healing programs for veterans and first responders experiencing post-traumatic stress (PTS) and other psychological traumas. The organization aims to empower participants by offering tools and community support necessary for healing.

Mission and Programs

Warriors' Ascent offers an immersive, five-day intensive program designed to equip participants with healing skills and foster a sense of community and belonging. The program emphasizes healing the mind, body, and soul through a rigorous curriculum and lifestyle habits. It is structured to address the psychological and emotional traumas often faced by those in service, which can lead to depression and suicide. The focus is on empowering participants to take ownership of their lives and healing processes.

Research and Evidence

The effectiveness of the Warriors' Ascent program has been evaluated by the University of Kansas Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment. Research has shown that the program significantly reduces emotional and psychological suffering among participants and improves their overall sense of wellbeing. These positive outcomes have been documented over several years, indicating long-term benefits for those involved.

Funding and Support

Warriors' Ascent relies on donations, grants, and sponsorships to fund its free programs for participants. Sponsorship opportunities range from supporting specific program elements like yoga classes and communal feasts to sponsoring full participation for individuals in extended healing retreats. The organization's financial support model ensures that its services remain accessible to those in need without charge.

Community Engagement

The organization emphasizes community building as a core part of its program. Participants become part of a lifelong support network, which plays a crucial role in their ongoing healing journey. Alumni often return to support new participants, reinforcing the sense of belonging and community that is central to the program's effectiveness.

June is PTS Awareness Month — and your impact can go twice as far. Starting now through June 7, every dollar you give to Team Leadville in support of Warriors’ Ascent will be matched up to $10,000 thanks to a generous anonymous donor. That means your gift will go 2x as far to help Veterans, First Responders, and Warriors heal from trauma, reclaim their purpose, and rise again.
