Home | Remember the Miners Remember the Miners Founded in response to the 2010 Upper Big Branch Mining Disaster where 29 miners tragically lost their lives Remember the Miners is a charitable organization dedicated to honoring the sacrifices and contributions of coal miners. Cofounded by Coach Bob Huggins Greg Darby and Erik Muendel our mission is to raise awareness about miners39 critical role in powering America while providing support and educational opportunities for mining families. 2025 Bob Huggins Fish Fry We are proud to be part of the 2025 Bob Huggins Fish Fry an annual fundraising event that brings together sports legends community leaders and supporters for a cause close to our hearts. A portion of the proceeds from the event help sustain our mission and strengthen support for miners and their families.
