Pride Month is a time to celebrate love, identity, and community but it's also a time to shine a light on some serious statistics. While just 10% of the general youth population in the United States identifies as LGBTQ, up to 40% of homeless youth are LGBTQ. In Washington, D.C. alone, that number rises to 43%.
