Statewide emergency helicopter transportation for the state of Maine. Non-profit organization. Supported by fundraising efforts and donations. We are a nonprofit committed to ensuring that everyone, in every community in Maine, has access to critical care and medical transport when needed. The LifeFlight Foundation (LFF) is an independent nonprofit organization governed by a Board comprised of business, medical, and community leaders from across Maine. The Foundation secures resources for Maine's major air medical and critical care transport needs including: infrastructure such as hospital helipads, airport runways and fueling systems, aviation weather systems, instrument flight systems, communication systems; the capital acquisition of specialized medical equipment and technology; the capital acquisition of medical aircraft; and the provision of continuing medical education for hospital and EMS personnel throughout Maine.Additionally, the Foundation is responsible for raising statewide awareness about LifeFlight of Maine and the Foundation, which it accomplishes through a comprehensive media and communication strategy and strategic partnerships.

🚨EMS Week: Save-A-Life Day πŸš‘πŸš“πŸš Today serves as a reminder that no matter how quickly EMS professionals get to a sceneβ€”bystanders will almost always be there first. Save-A-Life Day empowers everyone to learn and apply steps that can be taken to help save a life. Some examples include learning CPR, donating blood through the American Red Cross , or taking part in the STOP the BLEED project.
