We serve a weekly Community meal—Wednesdays in Central Harlem Mandala Café is a Non-Profit organization (IRS 501c3) committed to providing access, mutuality and dignity around issues of food. Currently, we are providing a 6 Community meals per month; 1 weekly & 1 bi-weekly. We resumed serving in May, 2020, since then we have provided over 20,000 meals plus 3000+ Volunteer hours. Our 10-week Culinary Training program will resume in January, 2022 Our Catering business has been suspended during the pandemic. In the future, the Mandala Café will be a pay-what-you-will café, focused on displaced and at-risk persons but open to all. In order to provide dignity and connection for all guests, it will also foster interaction among a variety of people from different environments (i.e., college students mixing with elders, the dispossessed mingling with professionals).
