Some of the best friends I've made have been right here, working for UAB. And once they graduate, students have become some of my really great friends. Just that cohesiveness – the way we're able to kind of come together and create this art. People with great senses of humor and great empathy. People that I know I can count on, and they know they can count on me. It really is a family feeling around here, and then they're also just brilliant. Triple threat! Tyler Thomas, 26, of Oneonta, Alabama, is blazing a path on many fronts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
