One of the few free zoos in the nation, the Saint Louis Zoo is home to 12,000 animals, representing 450 species. #stlzoo The Saint Louis Zoo Association is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, serving the needs of the Saint Louis Zoological Park. The primary goal of the Association is to support the Zoo’s mission to conserve animals and their habitats through animal management, research, recreation and educational programs that encourage the support and enrich the experience of the public. The Association helps promote the Zoo’s vision of evolving from a world-class zoological park to an internationally-recognized leader in animal exhibition and conservation.
