This is part of an alarming purge of LGBTQ voices and representation in the current federal administration. Donald Trump39s decision to exclude queer voices from a national arts center and to appoint himself the Kennedy Center39s board chairman is a threat to free speech in the arts. We stand in solidarity with the GMCW and join with other members of the GALA community to call on interim president Ric Grenell and the Kennedy Center39s governing body to reconsider this act of discrimination and return to offering performances that represent all aspects of society.
