Animal Adoption | Colmar | Dog Town Rescue Our Story Dog Town Rescue was started in 2013 when a bunch of volunteers from a local shelter wanted to do MORE to help the homeless dogs in the Philadelphia area and beyond. One of these fine ladies Jennifer Joseph happened to own and operate a premier doggy daycare and boarding facility called Dog Town in Colmar PA the Philadelphia suburbs. Jenn felt that an adoptable dog who enjoyed romping with other dogs could hang out and play in the daycare while looking for a new home. This worked well for a short while but both the overwhelming number of dogs who needed her help and the success of this model meant that the rescue quickly outgrew the one or two spaces in the daycare and became its own official sister organization Dog Town Rescue.
