Home APPLICATIONS FOR INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP ARE OPEN. The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate CPED is a collaborative network of over 150 schools and colleges of education. We guide members in critically examining the Education Doctorate EdD through professional development opportunities and a wide range of resources. Our aim is to transform the EdD to be more practical and applied by making it rigorous and directly relevant to realworld challenges and by equipping graduates with the skills and knowledge to drive meaningful improvements in the field of education and beyond.

We are pleased to announce Deborah Gordon Klehr, Executive Director of the Education Law Center, as the opening keynote speaker at the 2025 CPED Convening in Philadelphia. Deborah is a nationally recognized leader in education law and policy.
