Attracting rail customers can be a lot like dating. It starts with a spark and takes communication, trust and long-term commitment to endure. Just ask ASLRRA member Lake State Railway Company (LSRC). When they set out to revive a dormant transload facility, they knew convincing shippers to shift from truck to rail would require transparency and great service. And LSRC delivered. Thanks to their team’s dedication and relationship-first approach, the project was completed by the end of 2024 and they’re now serving three new businesses. This year alone, LSRC expects to move 1,000+ carloads, cutting more than 640,000 truck miles from Michigan’s highways. 💡 Want the full story?
