My heart is broken, I have lost my friend. An angel on earth who is now in heaven. Her passion for life and animals was second to none. She started her rescue to help those who could not help themselves. There were pregnant dogs and puppies. There were injured dogs that needed medical care. There were hoarder/breeder dogs and of course she had a soft spot for the seniors. I think most of all she rescued us. She touched our lives in ways even she could not have imagined. What would we have done if we hadn’t fostered or adopted a Poke-a-dot dog or two or three that would bring love and kindness to all involved. As she sent each dog off to their new home she would hold them tight and whisper “you will never have to live without love again”. The bonds she forged will not easily be forgotten. She was an angel on earth that is now in heaven. Rest easy Sheri, your job here is done. My heart is broken, I have lost my friend. (fb)
