Bringing Sleeping Bears Gateway Communities Together For over 50 years our goal has been to preserve and enhance the Sleeping Bear Dunes communities by capturing opportunities and mitigating challenges that may impact their charm and character. Sleeping Bear Gateways Council SBGC engages with multiple stakeholders to protect and enhance the communities around the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We work to find collective solutions to our shared issues in this beautiful area of Northern Michigan. Our Projects The SBGC works to find a balance between the seasonal inflow of visitors who come to vacation while preserving the charm and character of the place we call home.
