Hawking STEAM Charter School’s vision is to ensure that students in transitional kindergarten through grade 12 are actively engaged in discovery, exploration, and problem-solving through high quality and rigorous STEAM-focused, project-based education based on the latest Next Generation Science and Common Core State Standards. We strive to develop our students’ academic, social, and emotional knowledge so they may engage in public discussions, presentations and pursue STEAM-focused higher education and careers. We serve communities in south San Diego County that historically have been underserved in STEAM curriculum and in need of innovative and rigorous approaches to education in the sciences, technology, engineering and math curricula.
