Despite the love and support from his family, including a devoted grandmother, Peter chose a path that led him away from stability and safety. I’ll never forget the time we tried to take him out to eat. He hesitated at the door, convinced that everyone would judge him for being a street kid. The grip of street life can be incredibly strong, and for Peter, it was a battle he couldn’t overcome. His passing is a stark reminder of the struggles so many boys face when they feel trapped between two worlds.
