In our latest interview, Amungwa Tanyi Nicodemus reflects shares how is 2014 arrest for his investigative journalism propelled him to pursue a career in human rights law. Now working as both a journalist and a lawyer, he defends others who, like him, are targeted for their reporting. Media Defence first supported Nicodemus through our Emergency Defence Programme when he was detained for his journalistic work. Today, he is a valued member of our global legal network and has collaborated with us for several years to support journalists facing politically motivated charges in Cameroon.
