To create and implement programs with customized curriculum and to provide expert coaching and mentoring to a wide variety of individuals throughout our community to enable them to remain active in the sport long-term, while also addressing the issues of self-esteem, physical disability, aging, poverty, substance abuse, and educational challenges facing the residents of the state of Florida.Florida Archery Foundation offers specialized curriculum for a wide array of individuals including but not limited to: high performance, competitive athletes, individuals with physical/mental disabilities; seniors and veterans with special needs; students who require physical and occupational therapy, as well as kids, adults and families who just wish to pursue a challenging new sport. Our staff includes coaches with certifications and experience ranking them among the top instructors in the US. In 2016 alone our students have won 3 national championships, numerous podium appearances at the state and national level and have brought home over $80,000.00 in college scholarships. FAF has the capability to train both archers and coaches. We have built our coaching staff to 10 USA Archery certified instructors/coaches and we have assisted dozens of other coaches, from outside of our system, in furthering their skills and certifications. As a local non-profit we serve the entire state of Florida with our community programs and collaborations which currently include Youth Guidance, Substance Awareness Center and Milestones Developmental Center for Autism. FAF specifically seeks to serve those from all walks of life regardless of age, socio-economic status, physical ability or religious status. In order to reach this diverse group of individuals, we need to provide programs that lower or eliminate as many barriers to entry as possible. Some of those barriers are equipment expense and maintenance, transportation & cost of sessions with professionally trained instructors and coaches.
