ALLIANCE FOR STROKE AWARENESS AND PREVENTION PROJECT
Saving Brains, Saving Lives ASAPP is a non-profit public charity whose mission is to raise awareness of high blood pressure as the leading risk factor for stroke and heart disease globally. Our volunteers provide free community-based screening and counseling for high blood pressure. The Alliance for Stroke Awareness and Prevention Project (ASAPP) is a volunteer organization whose mission is to combat the growing incidence of stroke in developing countries by addressing the leading risk factors of hypertension, tobacco use, obesity, and diabetes. Our strategy is to develop and implement scalable programs to provide free community-based screening and education and to improve access to affordable medical treatment. The foundation of our educational message is healthy living with an emphasis on low-salt and low-fat diets, weight loss, regular exercise, and avoidance of tobacco.
