This Walthers Mainline model represents a former New York Central NW2 built in 1949. These are exclusive road numbers that are only available from the PCRRHS.

On this date in 1976, the railroad assets of the Penn Central Transportation Company were conveyed to the Consolidated Rail Corporation.
