WHMR rescuing Mustangs and sharing the healing power of horses (nature, art and music) since 2005 The ranch focuses on rescuing Mustangs and providing therapeutic riding and horsemanship experiences for people with special needs. To achieve our aims we study and employ the best practices in humane and natural horsemanship and share those principles throughout our work. We believe everyone has special strengths and we help our students who are here for therapy and enrichment to learn about and use their special strengths while honoring the horses as well. Life lessons are abundant when people learn to work well with horses and we strive to underscore those experiences for people with special needs and for the general public at large. We have an extensive public outreach program wherein people can learn about and adopt a mustang through our program and thus help the Mustangs as well.
