CFR was established by veterans-for-veterans to provide a safe and secure place of solitude that promotes wholeness through holistic and integrated approaches for enhancing mind-body wellness for Veterans struggling with PTSD/TBI and to help stop the suicide epidemic, which claims one veteran's life every 65 minutes (22 a day) through transformational life coaching, mentorship, equine therapy, group activities, and H.A.R.R.T retreats. To be a Safe Place that Gives Hope! 1-in-4 veterans (28%) that return home from combat are diagnosed with PTSD/TBI. However, many do not seek help because of the stigma associated with having a mental health problem, the inconvenience of undergoing additional evaluations and treatments, and because of the fear of losing their career or future promotion(s).
