Since its founding in 1924, the American Opera Society of Chicago has been dedicated to supporting the advancement of classical music through annual awards to vocalists and instramentalists. THE AMERICAN OPERA SOCIETY OF CHICAGO PROVIDES FUNDS FOR ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS, PROVIDES MONETARY ASSISTANCE TO YOUNG AMERICAN ARTISTS, OVERSEES THE DESIGNATION OF WINNERS FOR THE EDUCATIONAL FUNDS, OVERSEES THE DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDS, AND ENCOURAGES AND SUPPORTS THE ENJOYMENT OF GOOD MUSIC BY PROVIDING A FORUM FOR PERFORMING MUSICIANS.
