MacaulayJameson Senior Lecturer Department of Anthropology Baylor University Retired entitled Patent Medicines and American Healthcare of the Late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries. Inspired by the abundance of pharmaceutical bottles on midnineteenth to early twentieth century archeological sites this fascinating piece of research is a detailed study of the social and health history of patent medicines in the United States.
