Tammy Lynn Center, Inc.
TLC provides educational, residential, therapeutic and family support services to children and adults of all abilities. Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities is owned by Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., is independently and exclusively operated by TLC Operations, Inc. (d/b/a Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities), and both corporations are under the parent company Tammy Lynn Center, Inc. The Center was founded in 1969 by three families who had children with special needs. With limited options available to them at that time, these families joined forces to establish a mother's morning out program for children with special needs. Thus, the Center's first program was a day program operated in the basement of a church in Cary, NC. The Center now serves over 350 area families annually through its residential, educational, early childhood intervention, and respite care programs. In addition to providing direct services to children and adults with special needs, the Center provides family support services.
