MPEN: dedicated to protecting people, pollinators, & the Bay from adverse effects of pesticides Maryland Pesticide Education Network (MPEN) is a 501c3 organization committed to reducing pesticide use and impact by identifying, and acting on, priority pesticide-related concerns while promoting safer alternatives to ensure health of all life including promotion of regenerative, organic farming to optimally sequester carbon for climate change mitigation. MPEN, established in 2012, was preceded by Maryland Pesticide Network (MPN), a network of 25 groups launched in 1994. MPEN advocates for: programs, policies and laws to eliminate reliance on hazardous pesticides; safer organic practices and products and, right-to-know policies/laws. MPEN educates the public, lawmakers, healthcare industry, land/pest care vendors and farmers about pesticide impacts and safer alternatives.
