🐾 Meet Pearl 🐾 That little grumpy face? It says everything and nothing at once. Pearl’s been through more than any cat should. Found starving in an attic and brought to us in February 2023, she’s spent over two years learning that not all people are scary—but it’s been a slow and delicate process. Pearl is still unsure of the world. She keeps her guard up, tucked behind wary eyes and quick little swats when she’s feeling overwhelmed. But under all that hesitation is a cat who wants to feel safe. She’ll allow gentle pets when she’s comfortable, and in those moments, it feels like a quiet kind of trust—one she doesn’t give easily. Pearl would do best in a calm, patient home (with a soft bed or two), or perhaps as a barn cat where she can live life on her own terms while staying safe and cared for. She doesn’t need much—just kindness, space, and someone who sees her not for who she should be, but for who she is. Born 7/12/22, Pearl’s adoption fee is just $25. She’s also available to foster, if you have a peaceful spot in your heart and home for a soul who’s still healing.
