Drug Strategies Shifting the Conversation Drug Strategies a nonprofit research institute created in 1993 has been instrumental in shaping the national dialogue surrounding drug policy particularly drug abuse prevention and treatment. Drug Strategies challenged the status quo and pushed policymakers practitioners and the public to think differently about drug abuse. Our innovative work has led to the adoption of more effective prevention and treatment strategies in many states.
