BLA WINS STATE OF TENNESSEE TACD CONSERVATION AWARD After winning District, Area and Division competitions throughout 2024, BLA was selected as the state-wide winner this week at the 81st Annual Awards Program of The Tennessee Association of Conservation Districts. The mission of TACD is helping Soil Conservation Districts conserve and enhance the natural resources of Tennessee through education, leadership and advocacy of organizations who bring communities together to improve outdoor spaces and has programs and projects that improve water quality and conservation of Tennessee's natural resources. Boone Lake Association Menu What We Do WHO We Are The Boone Lake Association BLA is one of the oldest established environmental groups in the state of Tennessee. It was formed in 1983 to oversee the water quality of Boone Lake. Why is there a need Boone Lake CleanUp Each year BLA organizes an annual cleanup event that occurs on a late Saturday in April. The 2024 Silver Anniversary Cleanup was a huge success with a great deal of trash removed from the lake.
