Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia The Current Home of Your New Best Friend Who We Are We were the regions first nokill animal shelter and we operate an adoption and foster program for dogs and cats along with an occasional pet of a different species. We are proud to provide refuge aid and care for unwanted abandoned and abused animals free from the threat of unwarranted euthanasia. Animals that find their way to our shelter are provided rescue fostering placement and spayneuter services. Our Pets Our animals come from local kill shelters rescue groups hospice organizations the American Red Cross the Rape and Domestic Violence Center and nursing homes throughout the state.
