The purpose of the OAAC is to be an artistic, educational and civic not for profit organization for members and support members of The Oakland Avenue Artists Coalition (OAAC). The Oakland Avenue Artists Coalition seeks to create a platform for Detroit's multi-generational, creative community in artistic work. OAAC will also engage and encourage neighborhood youth in positive self-expression. OAAC can engage in all other programs not inconsistent with such charitable activities as set down in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
