The Ice Age Trail Alliance is excited to announce Evansville as a new Ice Age Trail Community!🥳💙 Evansville's 2.7-mile section of the Ice Age Trail winds through the historic downtown, Leonard- Leota Park, and neighborhoods of architecturally significant homes. The Trail continues out of the village via connector route to Gibbs Lake in the east, and west to scenic Magnolia Bluff Park. "This designation represents an exciting opportunity for Evansville to showcase our parks and neighborhoods and strengthen our identity as a community that values outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship," said Steve Eager, market president of Lake Ridge Bank in Evansville. Help uncover a hidden glacial wonder! 🌾 Join the Dane County Chapter on June 21, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., or the whole day at the Glacial Passage Area (Cross Plains, Wis.) for an Invasive Species Awareness Weekend event. Help restore beauty and history along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail by removing invasive shrubs hiding a section of the Terminal Moraine, created by the last continental glacier.
