Kids Need Play 70 percent of kids quit sports by the age of 13 due to excessively competitive environments and the pressure to specialize too early. 77 percent of families from lowincome houses cant afford to pay the high and rising costs associated with playing sports. 44 percent of kids reported persistent sadness and loneliness since the COVID19 pandemic began accentuated by a lack of social opportunities.
