[Meet our new violin/viola teacher] Ms. Lexi Pelton Lexi Pelton is a dedicated educator, performer, and avid chamber musician. She holds an undergraduate degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and a master’s degree from Rice University, where she studied with James Dunham, violist of the Cleveland Quartet. Currently, she leads the ROE Violin program at River Oaks Elementary, where she finds joy in nurturing young musicians, believing that children are the future of music. She is also excited to be joining the Campbell Music Community. In addition to teaching, Lexi is an active performer and currently plays substitute viola with the Memphis and Fort Worth Symphonies. She is also a passionate chamber musician, performing monthly in Corpus Christi, Texas, as part of a quartet. Her love for chamber music began in high school, where she played in esteemed quartets and other ensembles, a tradition she has carried throughout her career. She has also collaborated with Musethica, a nonprofit that brings chamber music to underserved communities.
