Now Pharaoh watches as God brings 10 plagues to the people of Egypt each plague challenging a specific Egyptian deity making Pharaohs heart harden and moving Egypt closer to the fall of their empire. Why does God turn the Nile to blood or send swarms of gnats and armies of frogs.

To take the Lord’s name in vain means to LIFT UP the Lord’s NAME, CHARACTER, and REPUTATION as EMPTY or FALSE — like making a false promise, claiming false authority, or misrepresenting Him through our actions.
