Affordable, small-scale service projects in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania, East Africa. We are a small non-profit focused on alleviating poverty within Tanzania's Maasai community and creating cross-cultural relationships between Tanzanians and Americans through community-service projects. We are a grass-roots, women-led Civil Society Organization partnering with remote, rural communities in extreme poverty in Northern Tanzania. Our vision is to see youth and women in rural Kilimanjaro rise out of poverty, to grow and thrive in their communities; as well as to inspire American youth to rise to the challenge of contributing to innovative, real-world, cross-national solutions. Our community programs operate year-round by local Tanzanians to help break the cycle of poverty and are having a significant impact on more than two thousand lives in Maasailand. Lalafofofo believes that children's access to education and women's economic empowerment are both key to improving the quality of lives of rural communities in rural Kilimanjaro.

Lalafofofo-Amka Sasa Empowers girls through education and sisterhood allowing them to make change within their own community. Teaches community members about proper bathroom hygiene and sanitation. Promotes school enrollment and student health by providing breakfast and lunch in our partner primary schools.
