Sandusky Area Maritime Association
To Collect, preserve, research, exhibit and interpret the maritime heritage of the Sandusky area, including Port Clinton to and including Huron, the Lake Erie Islands and South to and including the Milan area. The Association will maintain a museum and archives open to the public. It will create a public awareness and appreciation of the Sandusky area's Lake Erie environment & heritage through educational programs, exhibits, lectures, publications, and special events.

Travel back in time to the days of passenger boats commercial fishing and ice harvestingon Lake Erie. Learn about boatbuilding Ohios wetlands shipwrecks and Sanduskys role in the Underground Railroad. Explore the rest of the museums campus including the Howman Boathouse and the Motor Engine Room.
