PACER Center - Champions for Children with Disabilities
PACER Center expands opportunities and enhances the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and all children who experience bullying. PACER Center enhances the quality of life and expands opportunities for children and young adults with all disabilities and their families, so each person can reach their highest potential. PACER operates on the principle of parents helping parents, and its programs provide resources and information to help children with disabilities build skills and develop abilities that will help them succeed in school, work and life. PACER founded the National Bullying Prevention Center in 2006 to actively lead social change, so that bullying is no longer considered an accepted childhood rite of passage. Children with disabilities are two to three times more likely to be bullied than their nondisabled peers, and PACER's resources are available to all students, parents, and educators.
