At CEDARS, we are committed to helping families find the resources and support they need in order to grow stronger together. We recently worked with Micaiah and her family. After leaving an abusive marriage and moving into a shelter, Micaiah and her three children were struggling with insecurity and overwhelming emotions. Micaiah didn’t know how to help her children. That’s when she reached out to us at CEDARS. Together, with their new team at CEDARS, they worked on creating a safe space at home. In an activity, the teens realized they couldn’t define “safety,” which spurred important conversations about personal boundaries and emotions. Through these discussions, they all learned how to identify their feelings and communicate them in healthier ways. This family is now building a foundation of trust, emotional understanding, and safety to grow stronger together. We are so proud of how far Micaiah and her family have come and are proud to be here for families. Always. 💙 (fb)
