Gerda Update! Gerda is out of surgery and just had her first meal! The surgeon removed her gallbladder and took a biopsy of her liver. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to make this possible. When we have the results of the biopsy we'll post an update. For right now, Gerda is being monitored closely at the Dnipro shelter and getting regular visits from her brother and best friend Kay! This is Kay visiting Gerda in the ICU section of the Dnipro shelter. They’re best friends and since Gerda got sick Kay stopped eating without her.
