Watoga State Park Foundation Inc
The Foundation was incorporated in 2015 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to be a resource for the park and the general public with respect to recreation, conservation, ecology, history and in support of the natural resources throughout the park. The Watoga State Park Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2015. It is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) resource for the park and public. Most of all the Foundation promotes recreation, conservation, ecology, history and natural resources of the park. In its first two years, Watoga State Park Foundation volunteers have worked hundreds of hours. Especially relevant is work with park personnel to maintain and restore Watoga’s beautiful and historic trail system. In addition, ongoing projects will provide even better recreation for the park’s guests. Furthermore, the Foundation’s mission includes attracting more visitors to Watoga.

- Event Sponsorship: It sponsors and facilitates the Mountain Trail Challenge Races, which include a 5K and half-marathon, held annually on the second Saturday of August.
- Restoration Projects: The foundation has overseen restoration projects, such as the pioneer-era Workman Cabin built in 1887.
- Solar Initiatives: Funds have been allocated for the installation of solar panels to heat the swimming pool, promoting sustainable practices.
