In support of its member companies, the National Glass Association’s mission is to: • Provide its members with world-class education, training, technical, and business products and services, • Promote best practices, safety, and, ethics in the workplace, and • Protect the interests of our industries through legislative, regulatory, and inter-industry advocacy.

NATIONAL GLASS ASSOCIATION
ISO-- Glass in Buildings-- The International Standards Organization (ISO) Technical Committee 160, "Glass in Buildings," held its global plenary and working group meetings in London earlier this month. Urmilla Jokhu Sowell, NGA VP of Advocacy & Technical Services, participated as the US Technical Advisory Group Chair of the US delegation to ISO TC 160. Working groups, including representatives from several NGA member companies, met to share global best practices, and to develop and revise standards related to basic glass products, toughened glass, laminated glass, insulating glass units, assembly and structural sealant glazing, light and energy transmission properties and thermal properties of glazing, building integrated photovoltaics and vacuum insulating glass.
