Established in 1998 as the Hillsborough Kids Health Care Foundation, the organization's initial focus was on enrolling eligible children in health insurance programs. It later evolved and was renamed the Family Healthcare Foundation in 2010. Since then, it has expanded its services to include enrollment assistance for a broader range of health insurance programs, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, Florida KidCare, and Medicaid.

Programs and Services

The foundation provides free and confidential healthcare navigation services, helping families access health insurance and utilize healthcare resources effectively. These services include:

• Healthcare Navigation: Trained navigators assist families in selecting and enrolling in appropriate health insurance plans, ensuring that both children and adults receive coverage.
