The Big Time Jazz Orchestra calls Duluth, MN its home base and is made up of the finest big band jazz musicians in the area. 1) Benefit charitable causes and music programs in Duluth/Superior and the surrounding area through the donation of services and concert proceeds, 2) Provide educational opportunities for youth through workshops and concert performances, 3) Perform new and original jazz compositions and arrangements, as well as standard big band repertoire from Jazz masters, 4) Promote and advocate big band jazz music through concert performances in the northland by premier regional musicians

Get to Know The Big Time Jazz Orchestra The Big Time Jazz Orchestra callsDuluth Minnesota home and is comprised of the finest big band jazz musicians in the Northland. This 19piece ensemble includes collegiate and school instrumental music instructors as well as former military band musicians. BTJO is a 501c3 nonprofit and has supported the community through performance and education of the uniquely American art form of jazz since 1990. Annually the group performs shared concerts and workshops with local schools and university bands as well as raising funds for area nonprofits.
